Warming Centre

Monday - Friday

10am-5pm

In December 2022, Journey Church, in cooperation with the Calgary Homeless Society and the City of Calgary, partnered together to create what is known as the Warming Centre.

The drop-in Warming Centre helps those who are in need of a break from the cold, with a hot drink, home-cooked soups, and snacks to care for physical needs. We offer warm clothing and support to those who are living with the harsh reality of the streets during the coldest months of the year.

Some of our clients are reporting that the Warming Centre is "a safe place to go when there is no place to go," providing a feeling of security during the cold days and nights of Calgary. Hundreds of people are being served each month as we do our best to make a difference in the lives of Calgarians trying to survive the harsh realities of life.

In tough times, we bring Christ's light to Calgarians in need. Prayer, a hot coffee, and a bowl of soup make a big difference. Your support keeps this ministry a beacon of hope in our city.

How can you partner?

  • Volunteer

Volunteering with us is a way to give back and support those experiencing homelessness and hardship in our own city. We welcome volunteers from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday-Friday. Your time and compassion can provide warmth, comfort, and a sense of belonging to those seeking shelter from the cold.

To get involved, simply email us below, and we'll be in touch with more details.

  • Donate

Your financial support is crucial to keeping the warming centre running smoothly. Every donation, no matter the size, helps provide a warm and safe haven for those in need. You can make a one-time donation or consider becoming a regular contributor. Your consistent support as one of our "Kingdom Partners" ensures the sustainability of this important initiative.
